Powerball Payout!

I am officially 50 cents wealthier today than yesterday, but I am far wealthier from my walk through the world and universe today. Thank you.

Thought for the day

Something that I have been thinking about recently is regarding the veil that keeps us from seeing the afterlife or the void, or whatever IS on the other side.

I wonder if the only reason we aren't privy to it is to keep our asses here until we learn the lessons we are supposed to. If we saw the grandeur of the other side, mightn't we all just commit suicide and escape this pointless and hopeless existence?

Goodbye 2015...Hello 2016!

Happy New Year! Well, it has been an interesting one, for sure. Both of my podcasts are doing well enough. Terror Troop finished strong, despite the lack of effort on my part, and Found Footage files got a nice bump down the stretch from Gregory Burkart and the Blumhouse website. The future of each podcast will be decided over the next several weeks. Both will continue, but I very much doubt that they will both be weekly anymore. Terror Troop is my first born. My most personal and fun project. I labored furiously for 4 consecutive years without taking a break. It morphed and mutated from a horror movie podcast through various incarnations and lineups to become a one of a kind show with people participating from all over the world. I love Terror Troop. It is my expression to the world. I love all of the people I have met because of it over the years. Lately, my enthusiasm has waned a bit, but I am determined to make it something I can call a labor of love again. I must take the next little while here to determine how much time I am willing to spend on it so I can enjoy the whole process again. One thing that will not change is our coverage of things generally found off the beaten path. B-Movies, Monsters and Independent films. Those are the things we love on Terror Troop. We will never become a snarky, hipster movie review show. I firmly believe in actually enjoying stuff. I also don't anticipate any major personnel changes, but I will not be adding any more co-hosts. Stay tuned to see how it develops. Found Footage Files is my newer show. It started off a year and a half ago when Kelly Killbot and I first kicked around the idea and discovered (at that point, anyway) that there wasn't a podcast solely devoted to found footage films. Kelly departed after logging some of the best podcasts I've ever done, but because of listener enthusiasm, I kept the show rolling. A few months later, I was joined by my new friend Michael Steinberg of FoundFootageCritic.com and we were included on an article on Blumhouse's website. That and the bump in our downloads really encouraged me. I can't emphasize enough how key the support of the listeners and the encouragement from Michael have been to keeping me going on that show. Thanks so much, everyone! Michael and I are continuing to develop the show to make it even more entertaining and interactive as we move forward. So all in all, it has been a great year. I almost hate to see it go, but am very optimistic about the future and all of the fun we are going to have together! Cheers! Boss

I'm baaack!

Well, I certainly haven't been updating this page in far too long! I think I will begin using it to just get my day to day out there. Mainly just to sort it out, I don't know how entertaining it will be for others, but what the hell?!? Just the ramblings of a 40 something podcaster! So today, I had planned on recording an all British episode of my main podcast, Terror Troop, but my internet provider had other plans! So here I sit with a few other things I need to be doing, and I will, shortly! Mainly watching a film for my Found Footage Files show and possibly some You Tube work a bit later. Tomorrow we are planning on knocking out the British show, and I am very much looking forward to it! I took the summer off from the primary Terror Troop show and spent some time reevaluating everything. I am refreshed and think I know the limits of what I am going to be tackling to keep things fresh. It has been great to get back to talking to actual friends and still maintaining my "real life". The four years + I spent growing and developing Terror Troop became a bit unhealthy and burned me out, so I need the time to just expand my horizons a bit, and bring a bit of balance back into the picture. Anyhow, I am gearing up for the Mile High Horror Film Festival again. I will be attending the entire weekend this year, unless I end up going to the Telluride festival as well, then I will probably only go to 1 or 2 days. Either way, it looks to be a kick ass October for yours truly! So potentially festivals at the beginning and middle of the month, and a big Halloween celebration at my house at the end of the month! Halloween is by far my favorite time of the year! I am blessed to live in a dynamite Halloween neighborhood! Tons of trick or treaters and a lot of folks (myself included) decorate big time! For right now, it is mainly lawn and house decorations for me, but down the road when my grandson is a little older, my daughter Lizzy and myself have big plans to make a haunted house experience for the Halloween crowd. We will start with the garage, but I would love to expand over the years and make a full blown haunted house thing using my back yard. Well, I guess that's it, folks, for now! Time's a wastin'!! Been a while!

I haven't updated in soooo long on my little blog! I don't know if anyone ever even checks on it anymore! Anyhow, things are going great with the podcasts! Since I last posted on here, we have become fully independent at Terror Troop and I have started another podcast called Found Footage Files with Kelly Killbot.

It's amazing this journey has taken since I first jumped on a podcast from the legendary BillChete called The Horror Jungle. I have met so many great folks over the years, and made friends literally all over the world. The thing keeps growing and I am enjoying following the path I am on.

Just plan to keep forging ahead with what I am doing, and sending positive vibes out into the universe! I encourage all of you to take chances and chase your dreams! Take the first step and enjoy the ride! I will be back soon to share stuff. Gotta revive this page! Make sure you listen to the Terror Troop!

Interviewed April Washko! Look for it on Terror Troop #54!!

Yes gang, I had the opportunity to chat with lovely and talented actress, April Washko tonight!  I met her first on BillChete's Grisly Zone a few months back, and have maintained a decent Twitter friendship with her, but this little chat has made me an even bigger fan! As you'll hear, she is an ambitious, upbeat woman who you'll be glad to see hit the big time!
This interview will be a segment on the 54th episode of Terror Troop which will be released on April 28th. Can't wait for you listeners to hear it! Thanks April!
